Introduction

My name is Faith Schmidgall, and I live in Hancock Minnesota. It is a small town of just about 750 people and is located almost out in the middle of nowhere in the prairie. It is a school district, which is strong in academic and sports, winning several years of basketball state championships. Hancock also has a town hall, which houses a library, fire hall, and the city office. Common trees here are maple, ash and spruce. Farming is one of the main industries here, and Hancock is surrounded by fields. Hancock also has two gas stations and is located right by a highway. There is also a railroad passes through the middle of the town. Another notable aspect of this town is that there are three church buildings located here. Hancock Concrete is the largest employer in this town. This business makes concrete pipes. There is a school park and a city park here as well. The city park offers several camping spaces for Recreational Vehicles. Every year, Hancock will also host a 4th of July celebration, which is a very notable event in the area.
